About the Gala
At the Coalition for Children, Youth & Families, we know that connection is at the heart of everything we do. This year’s theme, “The Heart of the Mission,” celebrates the connections that transform lives: the bonds between families and children, the bridges we build to resources and support, and the community networks that ensure no family faces their journey alone.
Why the Heart of the Mission Matters
For nearly 30 years, our gala has been more than a fundraiser–it’s been a celebration of the Wisconsin families who open their hearts and homes to children who need them most. This year, we’re honoring what lies at the very center of our work: the belief that when families feel truly supported and connected, children thrive.
The heart of our mission beats strongest when we remember that behind every statistic is a real family. When a grandmother suddenly caring for her grandchildren tells us, “I’m going to sleep well tonight for the first time in ages because you all took the time to listen,” we see the heart of our mission in action. When foster parents discover through our programs that “there isn’t something wrong with us, our home, or our family,” we witness the power of connection and understanding.
